Stanislav Lascek will return to Kent having completed a brief but very memorable spell with the Mos back in October 2021.  The formidable player stepped in to fill the void created by of a delay in the paperwork necessary to bring in our second non EIHA trained (“import”) secured at the time, Tomas Banovsky. His talented display on the ice coupled with his unique character soon led to him becoming a fan favourite with many disappointed when his stint with us came to an end. In the 6 short weeks that he represented the club he made his mark; icing 10 times, firing the puck past the opposition netminder 13 times, and assisting in a further 7 goals giving him a far from shabby points total of 20.

Lascek’s previous endeavours on the ice are widely recognised following stints in Slovakia, Canada, America, France, Germany, Sweden and the UK. The former 2005 round five NHL draftee has predominantly iced on these shores since 2013 initially lacing up for the Milton Keynes Lightning in what was then the EPL in 2013/14. Over one and a half seasons in Buckinghamshire, Lascek iced in 69 games, netted 51 times and added 46 assists for a total of 97 points.

After brief spells in Germany and Sweden, Lascek moved to the Sheffield Steeldogs in 2015/16 where he continued to be a force in the league. In 2017/18 Stanislav Lascek moved to the NIHL with the Sutton Sting and here he would spend the next three seasons. After Covid postponed the 2020/21 season, the creative forward briefly signed with the Sheffield Scimitars in 2021/22 season prior to the temporary arrangement with the Mos. We all know what happened next. His skill and experience shone brightly in the 10 games he played for us and despite dismay from supporters unfortunately, due to the long travelling times each weekend to ice for us and the arrival of Banovsky, Lascek subsequently signed for our rivals the Chelmsford Chieftains. His move there helped the club finish strongly with a Playoff final spot and the star Slovak ending his season second in the league on points, scoring 34 times and assisting with another 38 giving him a total of 72

“When we first started looking at imports for next season, we couldn’t help but think of Stano. He finished 2nd in the league’s top point scorers and to add to all this, he had a great stint with us early last season becoming a fan favourite very quickly. When he moved on to Chelmsford, you could see that he really made a difference to their roster contributing to them ending up in the Playoff Final in MK. Stano will add obvious quality and comes with great knowledge of the game that will be invaluable to our younger players.” Karl Lennon
