2024/25 FIXTURES RELEASED

We are delighted to share the format and fixtures for the upcoming 2024/25 season which will see us compete in the NIHL South Division 1, NIHL South Division 1 League Cup, and the NIHL South 1 Playoffs, culminating in a Playoff Finals Weekend for the South 1 & 2 and North 1 & 2 divisions at a central location on the weekend of 12/13th April. The divisional playoff finals will take place on the Saturday, before national playoff champions will be crowned on the Sunday.

Our Playoff format will follow a 1v8, 2v7 and so on approach and the Qtr Finals will be played, home and away, across the weekend of 29/30th March but, in a change to the format in recent years, Semi Finals will also now be played on a home and away basis on the weekend of 5/6th April, with just the final in the central location on 12th April.

Our pre-season campaign will begin on the weekend of 7th/8th September with the Kent & Essex Cup, with, National League Team, Romford Raiders our competitors.  We will play at home on Saturday 7th September with the 2nd leg in Romford on Sunday 8th September. 

Our league games then get underway from 14/15th September, our opponents for our first league home game of the season are Streatham Redhawks on Sunday 15th Sept.

NIHL SOUTH DIVISION 1

10 teams now make up the Britton NIHL South 1 this season, with the addition of Cardiff Fire and Swindon Wildcats 2.  Teams will play each other four times on a two at home and two away basis for a total of 36 league fixtures. The team finishing in first place after 36 games will be crowned NIHL South Division 1 champions 2024/25 and progress to play the NIHL North Division 1 champions in a National Final at a central location on 13th April.

NIHL South Division 1 teams are Cardiff Fire, Chelmsford Chieftains, Invicta Dynamos, Romford Buccaneers, Milton Keynes Thunder, Oxford City Stars, Slough Jets, Solent Devils and Streatham Redhawks and Swindon Wildcats 2.

NIHL SOUTH 1 LEAGUE CUP

This season will see the return of the combined league and cup game format.  Both league and cup points will be awarded when teams face each other home and away for the first time in the season.  The four teams with the most points at this stage will progress to a Semi Final Weekend on the 18/19th January, culminating in a Cup Final Weekend on 22nd/23rd February. The groups are set as follows:

Group A – Invicta Dynamos, Solent Devils, Cardiff Fire, Milton Keynes and Streatham Redhawks

Group B – Chelmsford Chieftains, Slough Jets, Romford Buccaneers, Swindon Wildcats 2 and Oxford City Stars
