Owen Dell is bright prospect who rose through the Invicta Youth set up, first joining the Mos as a 16 year old back in 2018/19. The talented youngster soon found his feet and never looked back. Dell was swiftly re-signed for the 2019/20 campaign and, with a combination of the Dynamos being placed at a more competitive level and the benefit of a full year of senior hockey now under his belt, he went on to excel. In 40 appearances across all competitions, Dell found the target 24 times and claimed 15 assists for 39 points.
A move to America beckoned in 2021 and the forward joined the Hershey Cubs. Having enjoyed his time there and returning with the invaluable experience his spell with the team gave him, Dell is back on home soil and excited to get going once more with the Mos! Speaking on his return, he had this to say “I’m very happy to be back home at Invicta. Karl and boys have had a good start to the season and I’m looking forward to getting involved and doing my best to help the team to succeed in the back end of the year. My 2 seasons in Hershey were unforgettable times. I learnt a lot playing in a fast paced, physical league. I’m hoping the experience I gained over the last 2 years can help me play my part in the teams success.”.
“Owen and I spoke during the summer about what I had planned for the season and he already had his heart set on going back to the US this season. We’ve remained in touch and when he mentioned that he would be coming back to the UK, of course we wanted to act quickly. He fits the profile of what we are doing here at Invicta, a young driven hockey player that wants to play for his home club. Owen is a very talented young man that the Invicta faithful will remember and another product of our junior system that will re-unite with some of his fellow junior teammates. I really can’t wait to work with him and know that he will bring even more excitement to our roster. Welcome home Owen”.
