McAllan first joined the Invicta Junior set up in 2015/16 playing through the age groups over the next 4 years, which saw him serve as both Captain and Alternate Captain along the way. 2019/20 saw the D Man split his ice time between the Invicta Colts, Invicta Mustangs and a new role within the Invicta Dynamos. In that season he iced for our club 12 times, crucially serving just 2 minutes in the penalty box.
The 21-year-old re-signed with the Mustangs in 2021/22 but a recurring shoulder injury ended his season much earlier than he would have liked. He re-joined the Mos in 2022 but the niggling injury resurfaced forcing an abrupt halt to his participation and necessary, surgery. The operation was a success, and he rejoined the team in March to see out the final stages of that season.
He re-signed with us for the 2023/24 season and enjoyed a more settled period however following a nasty collision with the boards in Streatham in January he suffered with concussion which meant he had to sit the following few weeks out. He did return though and appeared in 30 game throughout our last campaign, scoring 2 goals and assisting in another 9 more giving him a points total of 11.
On re-signing for the coming season, McAllan had this to say “Really happy to be back next season. I’ve had a few changes in my working life so I will not be available every game next season but will do all I can to support the team as and when I can. Team is looking really strong and can’t wait to be a part of it again come September”.
“Glad to have Gregor back with us this season, even if he may be somewhat limited with his availability. He’s an established member of the team now and he will no doubt slot in as and when he can. He’s a great skater, has a good eye for a pass and is defensively sound. Delighted to have him back again this year”.
