The Dynamos are thrilled to announce that Regan O’Neil is back for another season! After an impressive campaign last year, O’Neil will once again bring his presence and reliability to the blue line in September, securing his spot as a cornerstone of our defensive unit. He not only returns for the 2025/26 campaign but will do so as Alternate Captain, bringing his leadership and experience to the team.
A product of the Invicta junior system, O’Neil made the full-time jump to the Mos in 2023 and he quickly proved himself as a dependable force, earning the Defenceman of the Year accolade in his first full season. With an ability to read the game, deliver solid performances, and put his body on the line for the team, he became an invaluable asset on the ice. Now with another year of experience under his belt, we can’t wait to see his continued development as a high-impact player!
Excited to be back, O’Neil shared: “Happy to be back with the Mo’s this season and proud to be doing that with an A on my jersey. I’ll embrace the new responsibility I have to the team. The squad is looking strong this season and I can’t wait to get back on the ice come September. Have a good summer all 👍”.
Head Coach Karl Lennon is delighted to have Regan on the roster again and added: “Reg has been an extremely dependable player and character in the team for the past 2 seasons and I’m delighted that he will return. His performances over the last two years have been very consistent and on top he has accepted any of the additional responsibility I’ve given him. I have no doubts with a letter on his jersey we’ll see even more from him. He plays with a grit that I think we need more of in the team. Welcome back for another season 🐴🏒💪”
O’Neil will continue to wear the No71 this season.
