Bio:
Jack Flynn arrives in Kent having spent the majority of his formative years in Pretoria, South Africa. He followed this up with stints with the Bradford Bulls in Ontario Canada, the South Oregon Spartans and Bellingham Blazers in Oregon and Washington USA and in Scotland with the Aberdeen Lynx. Despite spending much of his youth overseas, Flynn is a British citizen and is therefore not considered an import player.
In 2019/20 Flynn was snapped up by Romford IHC in the NIHL National where he quickly made his presence felt with his battling attitude and formidable physical play. The forward notched up 43 appearances in the gold and blue of Romford, found the target twice, claimed three assists and amassed 163 minutes in penalties as he set about leaving his mark in the division. As with all things, Covid-19 put paid to his hockey ambitions in 2020/21 but now, with hockey set to return in September, Flynn is ready to lace up his skates again and bring his feisty style of play to the Invicta Dynamos for 2021/22.
Coach’s comments:
“Jack is a player I have been after from the first time I saw him dress for the Raiders. He’s big and he’s physical but he also has speed. He has a good hockey brain and can ice as both a forward and a defenceman. He plays the style of hockey that I love and I know the fans will love it too. I’ve no doubt the supporters will enjoy what he brings to the club and I know he’ll be a contender for fans’ favourite come the end of the season. I’m very happy to have him on the roster and look forward to working with him in 2021/22.”
