21-year-old Netminder Brad Windebank joins the Dynamos for the upcoming 2024/25 season. The 6’3” goalie joins from National League team Romford Raiders, where he has spent the past 5 seasons.

Windebank started his career in Chelmsford and represented their junior system at all age groups up to under 18. During that time, he regularly posted a +90% save percentage which resulted in him being selected to represent South East and England at junior levels.

In the 2018/19 season he moved across to the Raiders organisation and played games at U18, NIHL 2 and NIHL 1 with the first team. Across all teams he played 36 games that season predominantly with the Raiders 2 side.

Post pandemic Brad has been a regular fixture in the Raiders roster. Despite his young age in the 2022/23 season, he played 19 games for the Raiders posting a 86.1% save percentage in the 17 league games he featured in. The team placed 6th in the division that season but had an incredible first playoff run that saw them unfortunately lose in the final to the Leeds Knights at the Coventry finals weekend.

Last term, Windebank played 17 games for the Raiders across League, Cup and Playoffs. Improving his save percentage across these competitions. However, he did spend some time in the season on the sidelines due to injury but following his return featured in a playoff win against the Milton Keynes Lightning to close the season out.

On signing with the team Brad saidI am pleased to be signing for the Dynamos this season. After a few conversations with Karl, it was clear to me the direction the club is heading in and it’s something I want to be a part of. The team is looking strong and I’m excited to get going come September. I look forward to meeting everyone soon.”

“I’m very happy to have Brad join us this season. He’s coming from a few years now playing in the National League and I’m sure that this experience and exposure can only help us take another step forward in our development. At the age of 21 he is still evolving his own game and with different responsibilities and expectations here, we are sure to witness his own next steps. Having a strong netminder core is vital to any success and there’s no question in my mind that between both him and Owen we are in safe hands. So welcome to the Dynamos Brad.”
