The Invicta Dynamos will be aiming to end their 2014/15 campaign with a bang this weekend as they play the Wightlink Raiders both on the road and at home for the right be NIHL Southern Playoff champions.
After overcoming the Milton Keynes Thunder 9-5 on aggregate the Mos secured an invite to their second final of the season where the Isle of Wight’s Raiders stand between them and a momentous double. Wightlink made the last two after routing a shortbenched London Raiders side 20-9 in the semis and Jeremy Cornish’s team will need no motivation heading into the coming weekend with the long term future of their Ryde based home in considerable doubt. The Raiders will be gunning to scoop the silverware then in what could possibly be their last stand and the Dynamos will have to match them and more if they want to add to their NIHL Southern Cup success less than three weeks ago.
The tie will see the Mos travel to the Isle of Wight for the first leg on Saturday 18th April before the all important decisive second leg takes place at the Silver Blades Gillingham on Sunday 19th. With the hockey season at its finale regardless of the result this is the last chance to watch the Dynamos in 2014/15 and an opportunity to end the campaign in fine style. Don’t miss it!
