The Dynamos’ preparations for 2024/25 continue with the return of long serving D man and Invicta stalwart, Harrison Lillis, who has confirmed his desire to remain icing for the club and commit to another season. Lillis has played the most games for our club in our 27 year history, in a career spanning 13 years as a Mo.

Harrison Lillis is a homegrown talent having risen through the junior ranks in Gillingham before making his senior debut aged 18 in the 2011/12 campaign. Since then, his hockey career has been spent almost exclusively with the Dynamos but for a half season stint with Streatham IHC during 2013/14 and appearing on the Haringey Huskies Roster in the Spring Cup in covid hit 2021.
Every season Lillis remains one of the most loyal and committed players on the team. In the 2022/23 season he iced in all 41 games played, scoring 1 goal, assisting in another 19 and battling for his teammates whilst accruing 62 penalty minutes. He was a constant presence on the blue line. Last season, injury and suspension curtailed his appearances somewhat and meant he was at times playing through pain, yet that loyalty and commitment spurred him on and he took to the lineup 34 times, assisting in 4 goals and racking up another 56 minutes in penalties.
2023 was a significant one for Lillis, the year that saw him awarded the “C” to lead the team and the year he topped the leaderboard for all time games played for the club. He will take to the ice in September to play his part in his 464th game as a Mo, an admirable and fantastic achievement. His total stats to date in those 463 games played so far include 23 goals, assisting in another 79 more giving him a points total of 102, all whilst amassing 687 minutes in penalties.
We are immensely grateful to Harrison for his long and loyal commitment to the club and are thrilled he is once again back for another campaign.
Speaking on his return Harrison Lillis said, “I’m really excited by the squad’s potential, we keep improving year on year and I’m coming back into this team hungrier than ever, more determined, more focused, more motivated to do well. Karl has laid the foundations for what looks to be good season.”.
Head Coach Lennon added, “Harry is a dependable fixture on our roster. He cares deeply about this club and has the same ambitions as me; to do all it takes to get us back to where we want to be. His season was somewhat hampered by the suspensions and injury. Defensively he is sound, and we missed him when he was not in the lineup. After a summer of recovery, he’ll be ready to go again come September”. 🐴🏒💪
Lillis will continue to wear the number 87 jersey when the new season gets underway later this year.
Welcome back Harry! Mos through and through!
