The Dynamos are thrilled to announce that Owen Dell will return to the roster for the 2023/24 season after confirming his commitment to the club. His career has also taken on an added development dimension as a two-way agreement has been negotiated with the Everyone Active Raiders which will see him ice for the National Division team when our schedules do not conflict.
Dell re-joined the Mos in January of 2023, following a relocation back to the UK after some time spent with the Hershey Cubs in America. Prior to his spell with the Cubs Dell was a bright prospect who rose through the Invicta Youth set up, first joining the Mos as a 16 year old back in 2018/19. Dell was swiftly re-signed for the 2019/20 campaign and, with a combination of the Dynamos being placed at a more competitive level and the benefit of a full year of senior hockey now under his belt, he went on to excel.
A move to America halted the 20 year old forward’s time with the Mos for a brief period however he was back in the fold for the latter part of last season and he did not waste any time picking up where he left off. A short settling in period was quickly replaced with an in-form Dell and his contributions to our success in the cup and our playoff run were huge. He played 14 games following his return, scoring 13 goals and assisting in 8 more giving him a points total of 21.
Head Coach, Karl Lennon, is delighted with Owen’s return and said “When Owen joined us through the season he fitted straight in with the boys. As he got more settled we really started to see great things from him and across the Cup Final and playoffs he was really a stand out player for us. When speaking to Owen it’s clear that he has both a lot of ambition but also a focus on what he and I believe will be right for his development. He’ll gain lots of exposure with us next season whilst being able to dip his toe into the National. So, the 2-way agreement that he will have with the Raiders can only support his development. Sean is a fantastic coach that has a great record of developing young players and I’m certain that he’ll do that again too with Owen. He’s got a very exciting year ahead of him”.
Speaking on his decision Dell said “Returning to Invicta was a no brainer for me, to have the opportunity to win trophies and play alongside lifelong friends is what every young hockey player dreams of. The club is heading in a positive direction and it’s so fun to be involved in. Going on a two way with Romford will be massive for my development, a step in my career which I feel is necessary in order to continue progressing. A big thanks to Karl and Sean for getting it done and having faith in me. I cannot wait to get things rolling again and I look forward to seeing you all in September”.

Owen will train with both teams helping to develop his game even more. Owen was a promising talent through juniors and now he’s had experience abroad he’s come back with a wealth of knowledge and skill set. Owen was always a dynamic forward on and off the puck and on his return to the Dynamos back end of last season he was a dominant player being involved heavily in their offensive game.
