DE LA BERTOUCHE JOINS ON A 2-WAY

Tyler de la Bertouche - PlainThe Invicta Dynamos are delighted to announce the two-way agreement of young netminder Tyler De La Bertouche with the Peterborough Phantoms.

At 16 years of age the Londoner has played much of his junior hockey in Romford and Haringey, but he did also ice with the Phantoms U15’s in the 2018/19, posting an impressive save percentage of 93.8.

Following that season his junior development continued with the Raiders, where last season he played U18 and featured a number of times on the senior Raider roster as injury cover. In addition to that he also supported Peterborough late last season, following an injury to their netminder. De La Bertouche came in to back up Jordan Marr through the Phantoms’ playoff run and regularly practiced with Slava’s side. This summer he joined the Phantoms on a prospect contract, which has now been made a two-way deal with us for the 22/23 season.

Tyler had this to say about the agreement: “I’m excited to get started in Invicta this season, I look forward to meeting up with coach Karl and the team.”

Dynamos Head Coach Karl Lennon has again added some exciting youth to the Roster and said: “We’re very excited to add Tyler into our Goalie core for this season on a 2-way. He comes highly recommended and is looking to boost his hockey experience at NIHL 1 level. I’ve heard that he’s a hard-working goalie that is willing to learn. He has great pedigree at such a young age, and we’ll work closely with Jon and the Phantoms to ensure that we support his development. I can’t wait to work with him.”

From his parent club, Jon Kynaston of the Phantoms added: “Tyler is a talented young NM and this agreement will allow us to create a really effective development plan for him with experiences at all levels to push his game. Tyler is an exciting young prospect and we hope we can support him to create a bright future for himself. Again, it is pleasing to work with a club with a player development focus like Invicta and their coach Karl Lennon

Tyler will wear the number 42 jersey when the season begins. Welcome to Invicta!
