To Our Supporters:

After taking time to reflect on the past weekend, and the season as a whole, we would like to acknowledge and thank you, our supporters, for every last drop of support you have given us this season.  From the first game to the last game, you have stood beside the team and have cheered them on time and time again, none more so than this past weekend.  There til the end.  Thank you so much for your ever-present support, it really does make the difference and we are very grateful.

Despite the disappointing way our season concluded we are immensely proud of Karl, our back-room staff and our team.  The season has been a long and winding one with ups and downs along the way, but they have remained unified and have really given their all, week in and week out.

We hope you can join us at our End of Season Presentation Night on 27th April, from 7pm at Upchurch River Valley Golf Club to come together, look back on the season together and sign the 2023/34 season off together on a high.  Tickets are on sale and can be found here https://invictadynamos.bigcartel.com/

Our Head Coach, Karl Lennon, would like to add the following:

“As the dust has settled from the weekend and I’ve had a little time for reflection, the disappointment of not making the finals weekend is sinking in.

Looking back across the weekend we let external factors control ourselves… this is something that we have done multiple times this season and the reality is that this does not bring out the best version of ourselves, or any team for that matter. It’s made more frustrating by the fact that we had pointed this out at the start of the season.

If nothing else we must hold that frustration, the disappointment, the underachievement and use it as fuel for our future. Our falls will be our biggest friend in our future. We have identified the areas that we need to improve in and we will address this in preparation and recruitment during the summer to complement the work we have done already.

Despite some challenges there have been a number of positives through the course of the season – development of many young Invicta players, debuts from our junior system, the re-introduction of players that had time away from the game, the welcome back of homegrown players, significant results against the top teams in this division, and a higher points tally than last season… all of which we can take optimism from.

Along the way, you all have been (as always) ever present with your support… both home and away. I’m eternally grateful for everything you give us every night we step onto the ice.

I’m also very thankful to the back-room team, volunteers and owners that constantly go above and beyond for the team each week.

So we will certainly use this season as motivation for next season, with complete focus on self-improvement and development as a club. We will be stronger.

Thank you all”. 🐴🏒💪
