We are delighted to share the details of who, within the team, has been honoured with the Captaincy and Assistant Captaincy for the 2023/24 season!

CAPTAIN – HARRISON LILLIS
ASSISTANT CAPTAINS – DAN SCOTT & JOE STEPHENSON
We wish all 3 the very best for the upcoming campaign and have no doubt they will fulfil these roles with dedication, commitment and passion! Congratulations, they are fully deserved and all of them will bring individual strengths to these positions!
Our Head Coach, Karl Lennon, shares his thoughts on how he came to these decisions and why he thinks each player deserves the accolade, “Obviously after Tommy’s retirement at the end of the season I thought long and hard about who should be our new Captain. It’s a role dear to me as I had the pleasure and privilege to live it myself. The right choice for me is Harrison. Last season we saw a new level of maturity to his game and presence in the dressing room. He’s completely committed to this club and I know he’ll do everything in his power to be a success. He’s stuck with this club through the good times and the bad, that level of persistence is what will continue to drive us forward. I know he’ll be dead proud to wear the C and I’m certain that he will do a fantastic job next season.
When Dan joined this summer, of course a huge benefit to us is the vast experience that he has in the game. I felt that it was vital we exploit that to its fullest by having him as part of our leadership team. There’s just so much we can take from his exposure in the game to take us to the next level.
Joe made a huge impression on me from day one last season. Not only is he a reliable, dependable player but he also brings his intensity every time he’s on the ice. Whether that’s in training or in games. He’s got a great maturity and I think he’ll excel with this added responsibility”.
Delighted to receive the honour of leading the team this season, Harrison Lillis had this to say, “the captaincy at Invicta Dynamos is a massive honour to receive. There have been many great players in this club’s history that have also worn the “C” before me, and to now be amongst some of those names gives me great pride. This has always been an ambition of mine, but to receive it at this stage in my career is something I’m very proud of. I love pulling on the dynamos jersey and I understand the value of our badge and hopefully my passion, determination and resilience will show great leadership qualities. I want this team to go deep in all competitions and I will be there supporting my teammates, coaching staff and the fans that have always been amazing throughout my entire career at the club”.
Dan Scott, returning to the club where it all began for him, also adds, “I feel honoured to be wearing the A for my hometown club. I will give my best in all situations, on and off the ice. I will be vocal in the dressing room and share my knowledge with all my teammates. I’m really looking forward to getting started. Can’t wait to see all the fans at the rink come game day”.
Having cemented his position within the club in recent times, Joe Stephenson said: “I am honoured to be an Assistant Captain and grateful for the trust that Karl has placed in me. I can’t wait to get started and I am looking forward to a successful season”.
