The Dynamos’ preparations for 2023/24 continue with the return of long serving D man and Invicta stalwart, Harrison Lillis, who has confirmed his desire to remain icing for the club and commit to another season.
Harrison Lillis is a homegrown talent having risen through the junior ranks in Gillingham before making his senior debut aged 18 in the 2011/12 campaign. Since then, his hockey career has been spent almost exclusively with the Dynamos but for a half season stint with Streatham IHC during 2013/14 and appearing on the Haringey Huskies Roster in the Spring Cup in covid hit 2021.

Last season Lillis, 29, remained one of the most reliable and committed players on the team, icing in all 41 games played, scoring 1 goal, assisting in another 19 and battling for his teammates whilst accruing 62 penalty minutes. He was a constant presence on the blue line.
Lillis will now enter the new campaign as the club’s joint longest serving player, alongside Anthony Leone, having appeared in 429 games spanning 12 years. In those outings he has managed 23 goals and 75 assists giving him a total of 98 points whilst also amassing 631 penalty minutes. He now returns to Planet Ice Gillingham where he will continue to battle for his hometown club and his first game of the season will see him top the leaderboard for games played. We look forward to celebrating that milestone with him.
We are immensely grateful to Harrison for his long and loyal commitment to the club and couldn’t imagine a season without his services in defence.
Speaking on his return Harrison Lillis said, “It’s an honour to be re-signed year on year, this club means a lot to me and many others, I love being a part of it. We have a great team core and strong belief in the room that we can be better than last year and drive this team to another successful season. The support that our supporters gave us last year was incredible and look forward to seeing you all again come the start of the new season”.
Head Coach Lennon added, “Harry was a constant for us last season whether it be in training or games. He’s reliable, dependable, and completely committed to our club. His performances last season were fantastic, and I saw a new level of maturity both in his game and in the dressing room. So, I’m very happy to have him back and I will look forward to him breaking the all-time appearance record come September”!
Lillis will continue to wear the number 87 jersey when the new season gets underway later this year.
Welcome back Harry!
