We’re thrilled to reveal the competition breakdown for the upcoming season, as the Invicta Dynamos hit the ice in:

  • NIHL South Division 1
  • NIHL South Division 1 League Cup
  • Challenge Cup
  • NIHL South 1 Playoffs

🚨 FIRST UP: CHALLENGE CUP WEEKEND FOLLOWED BY LEAGUE ACTION

We open our season with back-to-back Challenge Cup clashes on the weekend of 20th–21st September:

  • 🏠 Home Opener – Saturday 20th September vs Chelmsford Chieftains
  • 🚌 Road Game – Sunday 21st September at Streatham

The league campaign begins the following weekend:

  • πŸ“ Saturday 27th September – Away at Romford Buccaneers
  • πŸ“ Sunday 28th September – Home vs Solent Devils at Planet Ice Gillingham

πŸ† NIHL SOUTH DIVISION 1

This season, eight teams will contest the Britton NIHL South 1, following the withdrawal of Milton Keynes Thunder and Oxford City Stars.

πŸ“Š Each team plays a four-game series (two home, two away), with the top-placed team crowned South Division Champions and progressing to a National Final vs the North Division winners in Coventry.

  • Romford Buccaneers
  • Slough Jets
  • Solent Devils
  • Streatham Redhawks
  • Swindon Wildcats 2

πŸ₯… NIHL SOUTH 1 LEAGUE CUP

This season reintroduces the combined league & cup format, with dual points awarded when teams meet for the first time home and away.

🏁 Top four teams advance to:

  • Semi-Final Weekend – 17th/18th January
  • Cup Final Weekend – 21st/22nd February

Group A: Chelmsford, Swindon 2, Cardiff, Solent
Group B: Dynamos, Streatham, Slough, Romford


🧊 NIHL SOUTH 1 PLAYOFFS

The Playoffs follow a 1v8, 2v7 format, with:

  • Quarter & Semi Finals played over weekends of 28/29th March and 4/5th April, home and away

πŸ† The season culminates in the Steel City Showdown:

  • Finals Weekend in Sheffield – 12th/13th April
  • Saturday – Divisional Finals
  • Sunday – National Champions crowned

We’re also set for a fierce round robin format against:

  • Streatham Redhawks
  • Slough Jets
  • Chelmsford Chieftains

One home, one away fixture per team, played throughout the season. A final may be scheduled if fixtures allow, with the top two teams advancing.
