ClubLogo_210521After more than a year without hockey as a result of the turmoil caused by the Covid-19 pandemic the Invicta Dynamos are now anticipating a return to competitive action in 2021/22 and resuming preparations for a new league campaign.

The Mos last put skates to ice on 8th March 2020 and at that moment none could have anticipated that the team would not be together for such a lengthy period. Since that time the 2019/20 season was halted prematurely and the 2020/21 campaign eradicated altogether. However now, with the Covid-19 outlook looking increasingly positive, the club are anticipating a likely return to action for what we hope will be a full 2021/22 calendar.

With an approximate September start date to aim for, the Invicta Dynamos would like to take this moment to update our supporters on our current position and plans for the new season. Work continues behind the scenes to ensure the club remains economically viable in a significantly more challenging environment whilst our Player-Coach Anthony Leone remains to focussed on completing a competitive roster. With this in mind we are able to confirm that the following players who had committed to the side for 2020/21 are still set to return for 2021/22 (listed alphabetically by surname):

Henry Aiken
Tomas Banovsky
Ross Cowan
Tom Davis
Matt Foord
Anthony Leone
Harrison Lillis
Luke Thirkettle
Brandon Wesbter
Mason Webster

Following this update news of player signings will now resume shortly.

Speaking on a possible return to action in 2021/22, joint club owner Sarah Parrish said, “After such a long time off the ice we are all excited about the prospect of a return to action later in the year. Since we last played a fixture we have all been challenged in a way that none of us could have anticipated and been forced to focus on what’s truly important. We all now crave normality and as club owners Kevin and myself are in no doubt about how much a return to action would mean to our players, staff and supporters. Naturally any resumption is entirely dependent on the status of the pandemic and government regulations nearer the time but as a club we are optimistically aiming for a 2021/22 start. We are working hard behind the scenes to ensure we will be ready to go when we’re given the green light and cannot wait to welcome back our hockey family.”
