The Invicta Dynamos are delighted to announce the two-way agreement of forward Ed Stedman with the Invicta Mustangs. This is the second collaboration of the summer between the two sides following the announcement of Matty Bell last month.Ed Stedman Graphic

Ed has grown through the ranks here at Invicta and will continue his path of development, taking advantage of the extra ice time with the Dynamos when the Mustangs do not have fixtures.

Stedman is a name familiar to the Dynamos fans, Ed’s older brother Jake iced over 80 times for the Mos in recent years before returning to the Mustangs last season. In his first full season with the Mustangs, Ed appeared 24 times and gained 2 goals and 2 assists totaling 4pts. Held in high regard by his team, he was also voted as the teams ‘Most Improved Player’ at the Mustangs End of Season Presentation.

Ed had this to say about joining the Dynamos on a two-way: “I’m excited for the opportunity to play for the Dynamos this season on a two-way contract as it will allow me to play at a higher level and improve my skill set for the future of my hockey career.”

On agreeing the deal with the Mustangs, Dynamos Head Coach Karl Lennon said: “Ed fits the profile perfectly for our team this season. Firstly, he is a young local guy that has been raised through the Invicta Junior System. He is willing to learn, always working hard and a good character to boot. He has lots of potential which he is still realising, and we are very happy to support that here in the Dynamos this term. He’s skated with some of us through the summer and always acquitted himself well. Great to have the Stedman name back on the Roster.”

On the two-way, Invicta Mustangs Head Coach Ali Roger said: “When Ed spoke to me about a two way with the Dynamos, I told him it would be a fantastic way forward. Giving him more ice time every week with both training and games. The opportunity to play against different standards of players and in a different league set up can only improve his game. Ed came to the Mustangs last season and fitted into our way of play very easily and I’m sure he will excel with this opportunity. Ed learns set plays very quickly and is a sniper around the net. Ed’s work rate and respect for his fellow players is unquestionable and I can only see a great future for him.”

This season Ed will wear the number 22 when icing with the Mos.
