The Invicta Dynamos are very pleased to announce that the young and talented Invicta Junior, Harvey Bryden, has made the step up to NIHL1 and will fill the number 2 goalie spot for the club for the 2022/23 season.

Karl Lennon’s plans to invest time and effort into developing the younger players coming through the ranks continues with the promising goalie very much up to the challenge and he is sure to make great strides in his first season playing senior hockey.

The 18 year old has been a part of the Invicta Junior set up since 2017/18 playing through the age groups and culminating in a very successful season with the Invicta Colts that saw them reign supreme in the South 2 League following exciting wins over both Haringey Hounds and Swindon Tigers to come out on top.  Bryden played a vital role in that success, and he finished the season with a very impressive 92.7% save average.

Head Coach, Lennon, believes the time is right for the skilful youngster to be offered this invaluable opportunity and was delighted to be able to give him the call up to the Mos.  Bryden is keen to learn from the experience of those around him and we are excited to see his progression when the season gets underway.

Speaking on the advancement in his hockey career, Bryden had this say “I’m very grateful for this opportunity and really feel it will help me develop as a player. I am very excited for the season ahead!

Lennon’s signing of Bryden confirms the desire he has had from the very beginning to work with the younger players and said the following “We’re very excited to have Harvey with us for next season. He’s a great prospect with a big presence and he is coming to us off the back of helping to secure the league title with the Invicta Colts last term. He was their rock at the back and he’ll now take his career to the next level. During practice he will face some top quality hockey players and come game day, he will get to experience senior level hockey for the first time in his career. This was a big ambition of mine when I took on this job… to give young players the chance to make a name for themselves in the Dynamos. I have no doubts that he will show us all what he is capable of”.

Harvey Bryden will wear the number 31 come September when the season gets underway.
