In partnership with the SilverBlades, the Invicta Dynamos can confirm that the requirement to allocate seats when booking tickets online and at the venue on game day will be removed to better improve the service for all supporters.
Sunday’s home game against the Milton Keynes Thunder saw the SilverBlades Gillingham implement a new ticketing system allowing supporters to book tickets online ahead of the game and allocating each attendee a specific seat. Unfortunately, this resulted in delays for supporters entering the rink, prevented some fans from taking their usual seats or sitting with friends / family and had a negative impact on the overall match night experience for some.
As a result, and in partnership with the club, the SilverBlades are acting swiftly to improve the service by removing the requirement of allocated seating. Supporters will still be able to buy tickets online ahead of the game to skip any queues on match night but will now be able to sit in ANY available seat with the exception of season ticket or other reserved seating.
Implementation of the new system is expected to happen this week and supporters are advised that any online tickets already purchased with an allocated seat will still be honoured at upcoming games. An update will be provided when the ticketing system has been amended with the new changes in place.
Speaking on the modifications, Club Director Jackie Mason said, “We are pleased that SilverBlades have listened to feedback from the club and supporters and taken swift action to improve the service for our fans. We believe the option to buy tickets online is a positive move for Dynamos but that removing the requirement for seat allocation is firmly a step in the right direction in providing supporters the flexibility to sit where they wish. We continue to work in partnership with the SilverBlades to provide the best game night experience possible for all spectators”.
The Invicta Dynamos are next at home on Sunday 17th September as they host league newcomers the Swindon Wildcats at 5.15pm.
