The Invicta Dynamos can confirm that Saturday’s away game against the Wightlink Raiders will go ahead as planned with the fixture now taking place at Planet Ice Gosport and faceoff moved to 7pm.
The weekend’s road game was thrown into doubt with the Ryde Arena seeing its doors closed over a financial dispute between Ryde Arena Limited and the landlord AEW Europe / BNY Mellon Trust & Despository (UK) Limited. That debate is still on-going but today the Raiders have confirmed that they will continue over the coming weeks and honour both Saturday’s game – now in Gosport – and the reverse fixture that sees them travel to Gillingham on Sunday 23rd October.
Speaking on the news Club Director Jackie Mason said, “The long term future for the Raiders is still unclear but the team have made the commitment to play us both in Gosport on Saturday and in Gillingham two weeks later and we look forward to both of those games. The Raiders are one of the division’s most established and formidable side’s and we continue to offer our best wishes and support as negotiations regarding the rink continue in the coming weeks”.
Should fans wish to travel with the Dynamos to Gosport to see the team face the Wightlink Raiders they should email our match day co-ordinator Andy Mason to express their interest in securing a seat on the coach. Should there be enough interest the club will book the transport and confirm details with those wishing to travel. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
