Netminder Damien King and defenceman Ondrej Zosiak have been voted into the prohockeynews.com NIHL South Division 1’s all-star line-up by their peers this week whilst Latvian Eriks Ozollapa also made the second line.
The prohockeynews.com end of season awards are revealed at the end of the league each year with votes being cast by players and coaches across the division to determine the best performers throughout the campaign. The winners then have not just impressed the fans in the stands but also their opponents week in, week out making any recognition extra special for the recipients. This year a trio of Dynamos players made the line up having helped the side to a second place finish in the NIHL South Division 1.
Damien King – the shot stopper arrived from Milton Keynes in October and has arguably been the safest pair of hands in the league since. King has appeared 37 times for the Mos and conceded just 88 of 1256 shots on his net for a phenomenally high stop rate of 92.99% in all competitions. The goalie has also secured three shutouts including two against his former side the Thunder and one against Streatham. King was voted to the prohockeynews.com all-star first line by his peers.
Ondrej Zosiak – the quiet Slovak arrived in the NIHL with Extraliga experience and has not disappointed during his first season in the UK bringing an assured presence and calm head to a young Dynamos rear guard. Zosiak has been ever present so far in 2015/16 with 46 appearances and has added 22 assists to his 8 goals from the blue line. Like Damien King, Zosiak was also voted to the prohockeynews.com all-star first line by his fellow competitors.
Eriks Ozollapa – the Latvian has brought goals, assists and bags of personality to the SilverBlades in 2015/16 to become one of the division’s most recognised performers. 42 goals and 46 assists in 43 outings across all competitions has seen the all action forward notch 88 points so far and he will be hoping to add more in the playoffs before the summer break arrives. Ozollapa was voted into the prohockeynews.com’s all star second line by his fellow peers.
