A must for all cricket fans, you’ve got the chance to bid for Ashes winner, Geraint Jones’ last ever match worn Kent shirt.
The 38 year wicketkeeper batsman is renowned the world over for taking “that catch” in the 2005 Ashes series against Australia at Edgbaston, giving England the narrowest of wins by just two runs.
In a Test career that spanned 34 Test matches and 49 One Day Internationals for England, Jones was awarded the MBE for his services to sport after helping England reclaim the Ashes in the greatest Test series ever.
After fifteen seasons with Kent, Jones is about to embark on the next part of his career, to captain Gloucestershire for the next two years.
Having come to watch the Invicta Dynamos for the first time with his family against Wightlink Raiders shortly before Christmas, Jones was kind enough to donate his last ever match worn Twenty20 Kent Spitfires shirt and he has personally signed it.
This is a very rare opportunity for a cricket fan or memorabilia collector to own such a piece of history.
As such, we are holding an auction between 1st January 2015 – 31st January 2015 with 10% of the proceeds going to Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
To make your bid for this exceedingly rare sporting item, email your bid along with your name, address and contact number to firstname.lastname@example.org
Every bidder will be notified of the current highest amount with the winning bidder to make payment to the Invicta Dynamos within seven days of the auction ending.
The opening bid stands at £50 and all proceeds will go to the cost of running our great club.
