The Invicta Dynamos were shutout by the Chelmsford Chieftains at the Riverside on Sunday evening as the Essex outfit claimed the points in a ‘dead rubber’ match-up in the ENIHL Southern Cup. The Invicta Dynamos have today (18th January) received the ruling from the English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA) with regards to the abandoned clash against the Cardiff ENL Devils at the Silver Blades Ice Rink Gillingham on Saturday 17th December. Game Outcome The EIHA have ruled that Cardiff’s refusal to leave the dressing room and play the third period of the tie contravenes International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Rule 567 and that the decision to abandon the tie should only be made by the match referee in this situation.
