89 Tommy Huggett

The Invicta Dynamos are delighted to announce the capture of 20-year-old forward Tommy Huggett. He joins the Mos from National League team Raiders IHC to bolster our offensive threat for the 23/24 season.

Tommy has been part of the Raiders organisation for the last four seasons and in that time has represented the team at U18, NIHL 2, NIHL 1 and National Level. The past two seasons have seen him feature solely for the Raiders first team where he has played over 100 games, scoring 34 points (15 goals + 19 assists). Last season was a hugely successful campaign that saw the team ultimately reach the Playoff Final in Coventry.

Prior to his time at that level, Huggett (despite his young age at the time) put up some very impressive numbers with the Junior Raiders team at NIHL 1 level. During the 19-20 season in 29 games he scored 22 goals and 35 assists for 57 points. Placing himself in the top 15-point scorers in the division.

On signing with the Mos, Tommy said “After a long season in the National with the Raiders, I spoke with Karl following the last games as I was looking for a new opportunity. It will be great to take the next step in my career and gain exposure at this level to all game situations. I’m really excited to play on a new team and really look forward to playing in front of a new crowd!”

Happy about signing Huggett, Head Coach Karl Lennon had to say “Tommy and I spoke following the season as he was looking for a new path in his career. He, and I, felt that Invicta would be a great fit for us both. Despite his young age, he has already made a significant impact at both National and NIHL 1 levels with the Raiders organisation and we’ll be excited to see him hit the ice come September. He is a hard working forward that has an eye for a goal and will no doubt add more quality to our roster. Last time playing at this level he put up some fantastic numbers and we will look forward to seeing what he is capable of a couple years down the line following his development at National level.
