Brandon Webster progressed through the junior ranks in Essex with Chelmsford before making his senior debut as a 16 year old for the Warriors in the NIHL South’s second tier during 2016/17. Despite his youth, he tallied two goals and one assist in 10 outings in Division 2 whilst also amassing 30 points in 17 fixtures with Chelmsford’s under 18s.
In 2017/18 Webster then moved south for his first taste of hockey in Kent and his development was put into overdrive as he now competed in what became British Ice Hockey’s second tier. In spite of the challenges, the young forward made an impression at the Dynamos as he featured 42 times and found the target twice whilst also bringing a physical edge to the side.
Last season Webster headed off to the London Raiders and split his time between the club’s NIHL South Division 1 and Division 2 sides. The skater provided depth in 13 top tier outings for the Raiders, netting once, but proved a leading player in the second division where he managed 15 goals, 25 assists and so 40 points in 24 games. Known also for his feisty edge, Webster amassed 136 minutes of penalties. Still only 19 and becoming more prolific each season, the forward now returns to the Dynamos looking to lay down a marker in the NIHL South Division 1.
“I’ve no doubt Brandon will be a fan favourite at the Dynamos both for his work ethic and gritty style. More importantly I’m looking for him to keep proving himself as a player and a point contributor in his own right as I know he has the talent. Brandon put up good points last season and I’m looking for him to build on this in 2019/20. I like that he is feisty and strong in the corners by nature. He’ll add depth to our forward lines and I’m glad to have him in a Dynamos jersey once again.”
