Invicta Dynamos: Fighting for our future

crowdfund_bannerThe Invicta Dynamos are calling on the club’s fans to get behind a new Crowd Funding campaign to ensure the survival of the club for the remainder of the season and beyond.

The start to the 2018/19 campaign has undoubtedly been the most challenging so far, both on and off the ice. Last season saw the club elevated to the second tier of ice hockey in the country and we met that challenge head on.

With that elevation came more financial pressures, including increased costs to the club that we have tried our hardest to cover. Unfortunately, the reality of our current situation is that we need a cash injection to first and foremost ensure the survival of the club and should we create a surplus, this will enable Head Coach, Kevin Parrish, to strengthen the current roster, but also help us as a club to move forward and be competitive in the league.

To this aim, we are launching our Crowd Funding campaign to enable supporters to get behind their club, buying into packages that will see them rewarded in return.

Packages start from as little as just £10 catering to every budget with the hope as many of the club’s magnificent fanbase get behind us to ensure our survival.

An action group has been formed by the club in the past week to look at all the operations within the Invicta Dynamos and along with the Crowd Funding campaign, we are relaunching our corporate offering, enabling local businesses to support our great club, at affordable prices; so if you know of a local company that would like to get behind us, do let us know.

These past few weeks have been the hardest in our 22 year history and no one has felt that more than Kevin Parrish and he’s urging the fans to get behind him and the team.

“There’s no one that cares more about the Dynamos than I do.” said Parrish.

“I’ve literally had sleepless nights worrying about how I get the side to be as competitive as possible. With the financial constraints that we are working under, having had players leave the club for a variety of reasons, injuries and suspensions, it feels like everything has conspired against us this season.”

“We came into this season full of optimism and felt we could be more competitive than the last campaign, but the harsh reality has seen us struggle in a league we are desperate to stay in.”

“Things have come to a head in the past few weeks and we’ve reached out to a number of people that are working day and night to keep this club afloat. I can’t thank them enough for all the work they are putting in behind the scenes to stop us from going under.”

“I’d hate to think of weekends without the Dynamos, but that could be a reality if we don’t get the support we need.”

“Ice hockey across the UK is undoubtedly going through many structural changes and there could well be more to come, so it’s imperative that we ride these waves as a club and as a united club.”

“I’m well aware of the criticism on social media, message boards and the like and no one is hurt more by that than myself and the players. We give up absolutely everything to make this club successful and we’re determined to turn things around.”

“Not having Ondrej Zosiak available for a number of weeks has clearly left a massive hole in our roster, but we’ve been working hard to get him back fit again and we should see him back on the ice for this weekend.”

Club Director Jackie Mason added: “Having hit what we believe to be rock bottom, there is now light at the end of the tunnel and with the changes we are making operationally, I firmly believe we have what it takes to dig ourselves out of this hole.”

“Our fans are without doubt the best in the league and this is where I am urging you all to get behind us. You have a massive part to play in saving our club.”

“Please get behind the Crowd Funding campaign, ask a friend to join you at a game, but most of all, get behind the boys.”

team2The players will be signing autographs and having their pictures taken with our great fans after this Sunday’s game against Bracknell Bees, whilst there will be your chance to have your say on the future direction of the club at a special fans forum.

This will be held at Planet Ice in Gillingham on Thursday 8th November in the bar from 8pm with Kevin Parrish and others answering questions from fans. This evening will be FREE to attend and open to all.

Also, with the support of Kent Sports Trust, the club are able to give away 5,000 free tickets to local school children, community groups and clubs.

50 local schools or groups will be issued with up to 100 FREE tickets, in partnership with Kent Sports Trust, with details on this fantastic offer to be announced next week.

We as a club need you fans now more than ever.
