After overcoming the Milton Keynes Thunder 9-6 on aggregate in the quarterfinals the Invicta Dynamos will now faceoff against Streatham IHC in the semis for the right to make the final two.
A brace from Scott Bailey helped the Mos secure a 3-1 victory in the 1st leg in Gillingham before Adam Rehak stole the show with a four goal haul in Milton Keynes during the second leg that ended the Thunder’s season by way of a 9-6 aggregate score.
The quarterfinal victory means the Dynamos will now face Jeremy Cornish and his Streatham Redhawks in the semi-finals after the South London outfit edged by the Solent Devils in the previous round. On the south coast Cornish’s team were held to a 2-2 draw before then securing a ticket to the next stage of the competition with a narrow 3-2 triumph against the same opponents in the capital on Sunday.
As a result Streatham Ice Arena will hold the first leg of the semi-final on Saturday 1st April with faceoff in London at 5.30pm before Gillingham plays host to the all important second leg on Sunday 2nd April with puck drop at the usual time of 5.15pm.
