The Invicta Dynamos will have a full roster for the first time this season when they travel to the Isle of Wight on Saturday and host the Milton Keynes Lightning on Sunday after captain Anthony Leone’s penalty was downgraded from match to game and the Phillips brothers return from suspension.
Anthony Leone originally received a match penalty in Sunday night’s 5-1 loss in Essex at the hands of the Chelmsford Chieftains but the return of his injured opponent to the ice saw his punishment reduced so that he would no longer be forced to miss one fixture. The change allows him to lead the team once again on Saturday as they travel to the Isle of Wight to take on Jeremy Cornish’s Wightlink Raiders. That fixture should also see debuts of defencemen Billy and Charlie Phillips who have now each served their four game suspensions allowing them to pull on the Dynamos jersey for the first time this weekend.
It’s set to be another challenging weekend for the Mos as they make their first trip to the small Ryde Arena on Saturday in a game that will count towards both the NIHL South Division 1 and English Challenge Cup on the Isle of Wight with faceoff at 6.00pm. The team will then return to Kent for a Sunday home tie where they will be hoping to take the scalp of the EPL’s Milton Keynes Lighting in another English Challenge Cup encounter with faceoff at the Silver Blades at the usual time of 5.15pm. Doors will be open from 4.30pm.
